CityLink Fiber Holdings, Inc. was founded in 2007 by local Technology Expert John Brown and a local private investor. Mr. Brown is also the owner of BCG Assets, Inc. which purchased many of the telecommunications assets that belonged to the former CityNet. These assets include a metro fiber optic network and related equipment. When originally purchased the fiber network was 4 miles in size and connected 19 commercial buildings. As of July 2008 the network has expanded to 12 miles and over 60 commercial buildings. In August of 2008 the network grew again to include over 100 homes. The company continues to expand the network each and every month. The company is funded via private local investors and through judicious use of its profits. CityLink does not intend to build the business and then "flip" or sell it to someone else. Bucking the general trend, we believe in building a company for our grandchildren.
CityLink is the only Open Access fiber provider to have invested in and build fiber optic network facilities in Albuquerque’s Mesa del Sol community. CityLink is positioned to provide Fiber to the Home in Mesa del Sol as soon as home construction starts.
