Leasing Dark Fiber
CityLink's neutral, open-access fiber optic network is available for lease to carriers, service providers, and businesses. By leasing fiber from CityLink you can focus more on services and less on managing and building a costly outside plant network. We have developed an extensive risk management and damage prevention program that performs the following steps 24x7:
- Member of Local and State "One Call / Call before you dig" organization
- Daily physical inspection of the network by "driving the route"
- Route inspection
- Manhole / Handhold inspection (retainer bolts)
- Confirmation that excavation sites have a valid "One Call" ticket
- Accurate and up to date "As-Builts", both paper and electronic via ESRI ArcGIS
- Real-time monitoring via live OTDR tests every 30 seconds. A cut will trigger an imeadiate alarm.
- Advance notification prior to any work being done on the network

Service to existing buildings can be enabled within 10 business days after contract execution. New buildings may take a little longer if construction is required.
